What is Google Talk?

Google Talk is an instant messaging client that lets you get in touch with people faster and more conveniently than e-mail. While there are more broad instant messaging networks available, a customized instant messaging network for people at PBC.

How to install Google Talk

  1. Download Google Talk using this link.
  2. Click Run.
  3. If you get a security warning, click Run.
  4. Click I Agree.
  5. Uncheck Set Google as default search in Internet Explorer.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. Sign in using your full e-mail address (<username>@painesvillebaptistchurch.org) as your username and your password you use to access your e-mail.
  8. Once you're signed in, click Add and type the e-mail address of someone in the church you wish to add to your friends list so you can chat with.
