Welcome to the Children's Division at Painesville Baptist Church!
Our Purpose:
The purpose of the Children's Division is to guide each child:
To know God and His plan as they are ready to hear and understand.
To help them understand that God has a way of life he wants them to live.
To teach children about God through the message that is brought to them each Sunday.
Our Goal:
To reach each child for a commitment to Christ, as that child becomes aware that he or she has sinned against God.
To show that consistent study of the Bible will lay a foundation in the life of each child.
To teach child that God wants them to belong to Him.
Children's Division Structure
We currently have two Sunday School classes in the Children's Division, one for grades 1-3, and the other for grades 4-6
Our areas of study for grades 1-3
Learn how to be aware and know that certain stories and verses come from the Bible.
Recognize the Bible as a book from God.
Name & locate two main divisions of the Bible-New & Old Testaments.
Be able to locate several books in the Bible.
Locate the contents page in the Bible.
Our area of study for grades 4-6
Pronounce the names of books in the Bible.
Locate most books in the Bible.
Find chapter and verses called for in a reference.
Identify books with some of the men God used to write the Bible.
Children's Worship Service
We hold a Children's Service each Sunday during the normal worship hour. We use material provided by
Kidmo. While the parents are in Worship Service the children will be having their own Worship service.
